Community Arts Partnerships is an arts and youth development program within the Detroit community. In Fall of 2020, CAP celebrated the past two decades of their involvement and impact with Detroit youth. Collaboration between Graphic and Interior Design students led to a narrative that honors accomplishments made over the last 20 years in CAPs history.

The goal was to create an inviting space for kids, tell the narrative of CAPs 20 years of service, all while being a gallery to present the students artwork.

Through playful materiality and modular structures, kids are immersed into a space that encourages curiosity. A sense of imagination is evoked through illustrative hand icons that empowers kids to apply their own creative voices through the programs CAP provides.

Final assets included a large opening mural, various hanging cloth banners, wayfinding, wooden structures, a video installation, interactive infographics, stickers, and wearables such as t-shirts and face masks.
